Their wool is 100% produced by Uruguayan farms that allow their free-range sheep to wander through the hills and are herded by old-style shepherds. They do not participate in the controversial practice of mulesing and sheep are sheared pre-lambing. They are committed to achieving the highest standards of ethical sheep husbandry. The name of this yarn “Belgian chocolate “ perfectly describes the colour as it is a very rich brown with slight variations!
Ordered this yarn for a workshop I was teaching, and as always, it's my favorite!
