If you have yet to try Malabrigo Mecha, you are in for a treat- single ply, 100% superwash merino wool yarn, with a slight thick and thin texture.

Size:  Bulky

Length: 119m / 130 yards

Recommended Needle Size:  6-8mm (US 10-11)

Recommended Hook Size:  6.5-9mm (US K-M)

Knitting Gauge: 11.0-13.0 sts = 4 inches

Care:  Machine washable, gentle cycle, cold water, do not tumble

Malabrigo is a family owned yarn company located in Uruguay.  Their wool is 100% produced by Uruguayan farms that allow their free-range sheep to wander through the hills and are herded by old-style shepherds.  They do not participate in the controversial practice of mulesing and sheep are sheared pre-lambing.  They are committed to achieving the highest standards of ethical sheep husbandry.  They also own and operate a second mill based in Peru.
