Their wool is 100% produced by Uruguayan farms that allow their free-range sheep to wander through the hills and are herded by old-style shepherds. They do not participate in the controversial practice of mulesing and sheep are sheared pre-lambing. They are committed to achieving the highest standards of ethical sheep husbandry. Commission to make mitts with this color
The yarn I received was very different than the photos shown. I realize each skein is different, however there was absolutely no blue in mine. The colour turned out to be a muted mauve running to dull brown and mud grey. It does actually look dirty in some places. I still gave it 3 stars because it is still luxuriously soft and squishy. It is a consistent thickness and works up beautifully. I think this skein could have been sold as a different colourway. Maybe a one of a kind?
